CHAPS (UK) COVID Show Rules

By entering and attending the CHAPS UK Covid Show, attendees acknowledge and agree that notwithstanding the risk mitigation strategies employed by CHAPS UK in accordance with Government guidance, it is impossible to eliminate all risk and there remains the potential for unintended transmission of COVID-19 between show attendees. All Show attendees must play their part in minimising the risk to themselves and others by complying with these guidelines, venue terms, conditions of entry, and the COVID-19 Requirements.
CHAPS UK have the right to eject any attendee for any breach of the COVID-19 Requirements. All breaches will be reported to the CHAPS UK Board of Directors who will also be able to impose alternative sanctions including formal warnings, financial penalties and suspensions.
Test and Trace: You must provide contact details for you and your party and by doing so, you consent to these being shared with NHS Test and Trace if required.
Face coverings: Please use face coverings where possible. These must be used when visiting the Show Office and inside the buildings.

Be vigilant, Be kind, Respect each other, Maintain safe distance and enjoy the event

1. DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU OR A FAMILY ARE DISPLAYING OR HAVE DISPLAYED THE CORONAVIRUS SYMPTOMS IN THE 14 DAYS PRIOR TO SHOW ARRIVAL, OR IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE IN THE 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE SHOW.
2. Social distance from members other than your family group by 2 metres (or current government guidelines.)
3. Use hand sanitisers on a regular basis which are placed around the site.
4. Wash hands thoroughly on arrival and after using any facilities and throughout the day.
5. Use lorry toilets where possible to minimise the risk. Toilets will be cleaned on a regular basis and hand sanitiser and washing facilities will be available.
6. Obey orders given by loudspeaker system regarding social distancing.
7. Face coverings are compulsory in stable areas and the café and strongly recommended on the site to avoid spreading the virus.
8. Ensure you arrive in the designated vehicle on your entry and sign in everyone.
9. There is a maximum of 3 people per exhibit
10. Wristlets will be issued at the entrance and must be worn anyone found not wearing a wristlet around the site will be asked to leave.
11. Lorries and cars will be parked by Security staff with a minimum 2 metre distance apart. Vehicles will be checked on arrival to ensure that they are on the list of attendees.
ONLY ANIMALS COMPETING AT THE SHOW ARE ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND. RANDOM CHECKS WILL BE MADE.

Classes will be judged with a max of 15 competitors as of current regulations 06/08/20
In the ring the line-up must be spaced according to current recommendations on social distancing.
No animals will be stripped for conformation. Any conformation assessment will be with rider on the exhibit
No rider to dismount whilst in the ring.
Ride judges will not be permitted
Stewards may present rosettes in the ring. Rosettes should be individually presented for the competitor to pick up themselves from a basket or on a tray that the steward will hold out. If a rosette is dropped it will be collected by the steward and taken to the secretary’s office.
There will be a safe central point for collection of rosettes after the class
No equipment should be shared on the day between exhibitors or officials. Exhibitors must provide their own back number (or bridle number) (no issued through online entry)
