Youngstock Evaluations

CHAPS will again be running a series of Youngstock Evaluations for 2011. Aimed towards breeding stock, colts and fillies only, to act as pointers towards future suitable breeding animals. Open to CHAPS(UK) registered horses and ponies, owners/exhibitors must be CHAPS(UK) showing members. Exhibits are inspected individually in hand only at stand, walk and trot for future breeding suitability by selected Breed Panel Judges.

First Premium: Awarded to 8 marks and above
Second Premium: 7.5 - 7.9999 marks
Third Premium: 7.0 - 7.499 marks

Premium winners are invited to compete in the Evaluations Championship on completion of all sections on the day of Evaluation

Section A: Non-native Horse, fillies and colts, exceeding or expected to exceed 153cms at maturity. Yearings, 2 and 3 year olds
Section B: Native, Cob, Traditional or Vanner, fillies and colts, open height. Yearlings, 2 and 3 year olds
Section C: Non-native pony, fillies and colts, not exceeding or expected to exceed 153cms at maturity. Yearlings, 2 and 3 year olds

Once again, CHAPS(UK) Regional Shows will be hosting Evaluations - please keep an eye on this page and the Show Affiliations page for confirmation of dates and venues for 2011.

Entry forms will be included in the Regional Show Schedules which are forwarded automatically to current members with the World of Colour. For events outside of the Regional Shows that are holding Evaluations, please contact CHAPS(UK) via email for an entry form pdf. Entry forms for Junior Show will be included in the schedule - to be uploaded onto site when available.
