SOUTHERN SHOWING CLINIC 18TH MARCH 2012

CHAPS(UK) are delighted to announce that James Van Praagh has very kindly offered to run a Showing Clinic for Chaps members, using his facilities on Sunday 18th March.
This is the first time we have managed to secure a clinic in the South, so I am hoping that as many people as possible will be able to attend.
Each session will run for 45mins and have a maximum of 4 per group to allow appropriate individual assessment & feedback from James.
We are hoping to run 6 sessions during the day.

FAST TRACK SYSTEM FOR MEMBERSHIP

As of 7th June, 2011, CHAPS(UK) has introduced a Fast Track system,
whereby the applicant can pay an extra fee of £50.00 inclusive of VAT
for a guaranteed 48-hour (working days) turnaround. This fee is in
addition to the membership/registration fees. This system will only
apply to instant payments, and is totally dependent on the office
being open. The Admin office is closed weekends, bank holidays
and public holidays, as well as for attendance at various meetings,
functions and, of course, personal holidays. So, if using Fast
Track, checks must be made to make sure that the office is open –
there is no point in applying if the office is closed. This
sounds a bit cumbersome, but it is the precise reason why the notifications
are given on each and every application form: to allow for times
when the Admin office is not open. Acceptance of applications will
also be dependent on the forms
being completed correctly in full, and the correct fees forwarded.

PAYMENT FOR SHOWS - IMPORTANT CHANGE

Please note that due to a change in all of the banks' systems,
CHAPS (UK) will ONLY ACCEPT CASH WHEN PAYING FOR ENTRIES ON THE DAY
at all regional shows and the championship show.
NO CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SHOW DAYS WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Cheques will be accepted for pre-entries by close of entry date.

IMPORTANT RULE CHANGE

Please note the rule for wearing of spurs has changed as
below as per the members handbook 2008
"No Spurs when ridden by a junior rider, or by any rider
in the pony sections (non-native not exc 153cms, Native,
Cob, Traditional not exc 148cms)"
Some shows may have the incorrect ruling printed in their
schedule due to the change of rule after show affiliation
guides were printed.

YOUR REGIONAL SHOWS NEED YOU!

The regional show secretaries need your help: anyone who would
be interested in stewarding please get in contact with your
local regional show secretary and offer your time. Without
this help there would be no shows - this is your chance to gain
experience, have fun and meet new people!
